Education:  Graduated 1993 BS in Education, Summa Cum Laude, Blue Mountain College, Blue Mountain, Mississippi; Pursued masters in reading from The University of San Diego, California; Certified dyslexic tutor and tester.

BIO:  Mrs. Walter has taught for over 18 years in several states. This is the beginning of her seventh year to teach in Alabama at Old Shell Road. She is married to Dr. Steve Walter who is the lead pastor of Moffett Road Baptist Church in Mobile.  This is what brought her to Mobile and thus to OSR. They have three grown children and one beautiful grandson! 

The majority of her teaching experience has been spent in first grade. First grade has become a love for Mrs. Walter because this is where reading happens.  She loves teaching and developing confident readers.  There is nothing like seeing and hearing  students read for the very first time! 

When Mrs. Walter is not in the classroom you can find her busy working in the church, kitchen, or the garden.  She also loves to read and workout in her spare time.  She loves the Lord and wants to serve Him first. She also wants every child to know that they are special and created for a purpose!
