Second grade celebrated Dot Day by thinking outside the dot Dalmatian style! From classic black-and-white spots to colorful dots, our unique Dalmatians showed that creativity has no limits. No two pups were alike, and that’s what made our celebration so special!

Great things are happening in fifth-grade science! Mrs. Barnes’ students have been busy measuring mass and volume, investigating mixtures and solutions, and exploring phase changes through hands-on learning experiences.
Mrs. Farmer’s third graders put science into action by conducting experiments to explore unbalanced forces!
Mobile Symphony teaching artists Ms. Ashley Overby and Ms. Annie Young are excited to start strings classes in September! New for this year is our 4th and 5th grade beginner classes, no prior experience necessary and no additional classes or private lessons are required to participate! Registration forms are due by Friday, September 11th, so register soon to make sure your student doesn't miss out on any of the fun! Extra forms are available at the school office and on the Mobile Symphony website. You can mail registration forms to the Mobile Symphony or email them to Ms. Pardo or Ms. Overby. Emails and the mailing address are listed on the form.
Ms. Marks’ first graders had fun combining and sorting shapes by their attributes while creating colorful patterns. These little mathematicians enjoyed strengthening their geometry skills through hands-on learning!
Our Rockstars are ready to shine! ⭐ i-Ready Diagnostic Testing begins tomorrow. Families can help students prepare by ensuring they get a good night’s rest, arrive on time, and eat a healthy breakfast. Encourage your Rockstar to take their time, do their best, and show what they know so we can better support their learning and growth this school year!

Reminder! Parent meetings are this week.
The Third-grade parent meeting is Tuesday, August 25th at 3:35 in the cafeteria. Fifth-grade parent meetings are Tuesday, August 25th at 3:35 or 5:00. Fourth grade will have their parent meeting on Wednesday, August 26th at 3:45. Please pick up your students in carpool first, then loop back to park in the gravel lot. Remain in your vehicle until carpool is over.
Present Potatoes begins on August 24!
Each day that every student in a class is present, the class will earn a new part for their Mr. Potato Head. Once the class completes their Present Potato, students will celebrate with a special chip party! Let’s work together to promote good attendance and ensure our scholars are at school, on time, and ready to learn every day!

Mrs. Jones’ 3rd-grade students had a fun and engaging way to prepare for their upcoming spelling test! Students played Quiz, Quiz, Trade, working with classmates to practice their spelling words while building confidence and getting ready to show what they know.

Students put their collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills to work as they faced an exciting challenge: save Sam by getting him safely into his “life jacket.” Working together, our young scientists developed strategies, tested their ideas, and made adjustments until Sam was safe.
