Hello! My name is Hannah Garland, and I am excited to join the McDavid-Jones Elementary family as a Kindergarten teacher. I have spent the last 5 years teaching Pre-K and I am thrilled to begin this new chapter in Kindergarten! Teaching is more than a job for me, it's a passion. I have a B.S in Child and Social Development from The University of Mobile and a B.S in Early Childhood Education. I believe every child can learn and succeed when they feel loved, supported, and encouraged. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, spoiling my nieces and nephews, and shopping at HomeGoods and Target with a Starbucks coffee in my hand. Warburg Micro Syndrome is a rare genetic disorder that can affect a child’s vision, development, muscle tone, and learning abilities. Children with this syndrome often face many challenges, but they also show incredible strength, perseverance, and resilience every single day.
We are so proud of Viktor and all the progress he continues to make in our classroom. He works hard, brings joy to those around him, and reminds us daily that every child can learn, grow, and succeed in their own unique way.
